TriGene Technical Product Application for Pipettes

Recommended Procedure for all Models(Please note electronic equipment must not be immersed in any liquids) |
General Daily Use
- 1:10 dilution is recommended (pipettes should be cleaned using this method prior to servicing).

- Spray/or wipe handle and shaft with ready to use TriGene or TriGene Wipes leave for a minimum contact time of 10 minutes (ensuring the tip ejector button and volumeter are also cleaned).
- Rinse with de-mineralised water and wipe dry.
- Pipettes requiring servicing can be dismantled and cleaned using TriGene. All parts can then be placed in 1:10 dilution for 10 minutes, then rinse with de-mineralised water. You must ensure the pipette parts are rinsed and dried thoroughly before reassembly.
Complete Decontamination
- 1:10 dilution is recommended, use a container that is deep enough to allow full immersion of the pipette.
- Dismantle pipette (as specified by the manufacturer for servicing), place parts (which can be immersed) completely in solution for 30 minutes (tip holder, piston, tip ejector & ECT).
- Remove parts and rinse with demineralised water. Lie on lint free cloth, place in a dry oven at 60oC for at least one hour (until dry). Alternatively, place on bench with lint free cloth until dry (approx. 4 hours)
- Reassemble pipette following manufacturer recommendations.
- TriGene Wipes are recommended for use on pipettes between uses to reduce cross contamination.
